have the Bluebox paperwork but it lists two different model numbers: MT 644 and
MT 654CR. The paperwork states "up to 300 hp." I was sure this 6V92 was 330 hp
with the turbo. I don't believe the motor or tranny was changed - at least I
have no reason to believe it. What's the easiest way to tell which tranny I
have? Or, does it make any difference when it comes to the filters?

Allison MT 654CR Transmission. The Internal Filter kit that I used was Allison
number 29502302 and the spin-on filter that I used was a Fram PH3519A. The
Allison MT 654CR Transmission is a 5 speed and I believe the Allison MT 644 is a
4 speed.

All trannies and engines are marked with either a plate, tag stamped or cast in
info. The owner's or service manual should show where on the tranny to find the
spot with the model and serial # info.
For the filters, they may be the same if they are in the sane "family". You can
go online to a filter website or Allison and cross-reference between the models.
