SF area
> Thinking of running up the coast to SF . Any good camping on the ocean side close to San Francisco??? Thanks in advance.. > Mario 1985fc35 Carlsbad CA. Last summer, we went up to Point Reyes Station, which is north of the city about an hour or so. It was really very nice. It's not really close enough to the city to just camp there and go into the city everyday because the road is a little bit slow going as it winds a bit. But if, after visiting the city, you're looking for a quiet peaceful area with a very nice campground, a cute little town with nice restaurants, forest hiking trails, and a beautiful beach (about ten miles from the campground), you should check it out. Oh, and a cool lighthouse. I have some pictures of the trip on my picasa photo album page.
