Don't know why not... I've stayed up to six weeks in one location with the jacks down. They stayed exactly where they were supposed to. I don't think it makes much difference to the hydraulic fluid if it's on one side of the valve or the other.
I suppose you could contact HWH and see if they have any procedures they suggest, but I couldn't imagine what they might be...
