Windshield Leaks
Joe:
I picked up an off the shelf sealer at a Napa store that fit the gun I had. I also did prep work by shooting alcohol under there first then with a "slim jim" door tool (thin metal) I tried to be sure the alcohol went in as far as it could go and to be sure it had dissipated I waited for 48 hours before going in under the tight rubber gasket with the tip of the sealer and gun. Then I used a caulk removal edging tool to remove the excess that squeezed out and the sealant formed a cove type dam. Did I do it right?? I don't know, am not up on glass installs really. But I do know I had no more leak. Safe travels, Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider 84FC35 "Ruff Diamond" Duncan, Oklahoma At 06:31 AM 4/28/2009 -0700, you wrote: Thanks Ralph, |
