Good morning everyone:

Since it seems to be a slow morning on the Forum, I thought I would bring
up some mods/up-grades and replacements made on our Ruff Diamond.

1. Bedroom change; dismantled the full size bed in the corner, removed the
vanity and built twin beds, using the drawers from the vanity for part of
the new twin bed frame. Ernie and Bim did the carpet work. We even have a
small nook with wood flooring that matches the galley under the new twin
bed frame for the dog water and food bowls, then a double bat wing door
behind that for dog food storage.
2. Our old smallish flat screen tv went out so we bought a 22inch Vizio.
Where the tv used to sit was on the 1/2 closet just inside the entry door
and that needed a change. As you know FC's front overhead does not readily
lend it's self to modification so I built a tv "hide" cabinet that hangs on
the ceiling between the driver and co pilot over the dog house and is not a
head knocker because of the location, and I did not modify any of the front
3 piece panel. This was a fun project but not an easy one. The hardware is
original BB and we covered the frame with matching vinal and the look is
original.
3. I replaced all the ceiling strips front to back in the Coach. Looks good
to, thanks to Steve B for getting the strips.
4. We had no drawer under the sink, so I built in shelves. Charolette found
a nice griddle (flat) and under the bottom shelf I made room for a slip in
slot for that and it works like a charm for storage. She says the storage
with out the drawer is about 3 times what it was.
5. I separated the 1/2 closet in the entry way/Salon are with a divider.
One side I installed shelves for storage and the other has a clothes
hanging rod for the jackets or rain gear or? and that freed up allot of
storage problems.

All of the above was done with items collected over the years, mostly and
now have time to play with. Next, it is time to work on some air leaks,
maybe do the dog house insulation.

One thing for sure, all this "stuff" has kept me out of the dog house!!!! LOL

Safe travels,

Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider
