I have the same compressor -- and I find it remarkable that the switch was installed in a "convenient" hole in the metal "wire organizer" it is placed on. The toggle switch is black plastic against the black background of the metal base. Practically invisible, until you know where to look.
I know this because, I, too, managed to flip it off accidently when I placed some spare fuel/oil filters on the shelf next to the compressor -- fortunately, I discovered the switch when I was closely looking at the compressor to discover what was wrong...
