air step diagnosis
My air step is not working. If I apply power directly to the solinoids the step
goes in and out properly. The dash switch light stays on all the time. There are three door switches in the door jamb. The lower one operates the step light and I don't know what the top two operate. The relays seem very hot to touch and they all have power. The pressure switch has power. The wire that supplies power to the extend solinoid has power all the time if the door is open or closed. The pressure strip has been removed and the end capped. The micro switches cancel power when the button is pressed. If anyone can help me troubleshoot this problem I would appreciate it.
