While most of the time service providers will take a credit card, once in a while you might be caught needing to pay in cash. 2) Is there a preferred liability/collision /medical coverage insurer you could recommend? First year, I had insurance through a broker that put me with Progressive, I think. Recently, I got coverage through a broker working with FMCA. You need to be careful about the coverage you choose -- an RV used full time will need coverage that's both like auto coverage -- but also with aspects of a homeowner's policy. Some auto policies will cover RVs, but they tend to not cover all the risks you're exposed to -- so it's better to stick with a true RV policy.
