>Chuck, I recently removed my comode from my 89sp and if I recall it exposes the water line from the sink to the shower. All you have to do is remove the top half of the comode where the big hose clamp is, leaving the bottom half attached to the floor. There will be a hose to disconnect at the valve, but its not hard at all. Iput on a kit that replaces all part on the step valve.
