the best help you can give someone that is in this persons state of mind and
situation is to distract. I would have done anything possible to get him out of the bus. yell 'fire' or 'flat tire' or 'is that your wallet under the bus?'. Once out, change the subject 3 times until the persons breathing rate reduces. when the person is calm, ask onlookers to mind their own business then give driver advice.
