checked, checked out great. I put the starter back on and it still will not
start. I then short the solenoid wire to the battery and it would start if was
getting the signal from the console. I have since taken apart the console on
the generator itself to find the Ford style starter solenoid inside and checked
it out and it works fine. The ground side of the solenoid at this point seems
to be getting the wrong signal as it should be grounding and in fact has 12
volts to it. The switch side of the solenoid at this point has a little over 8
volts when the starter switch is activated. The generator attempts to start as
it should operating the fuel shutoff and finally for lack of a better word times
out and either trips the DC output control or the push to reset circuit breaker.
From this can someone either tell me what to look for or if at all possible
supply me with a schematic. Any help is greatly appreciated.
