NEW - HISSING NOISE UNDER DASH
> From a similar experience on our '93 WLPT40, it turned out to be the air valve
for the step well cover located (with limited access) behind the upper center drawer of the dash area. As I recall we acquired a replacement from BB direct, but after replacing it found that cleaning and lubricating the old one made it work well. Best of luck in tracing out your "hissssssss". Before replacing anything, provided it isn't the unwanted snake, I would suggest cycling what ever component you determine to be emminating the sound as any dust or debris can cause a spool to stick. Sometimes just cycling will clear the culprit.
