Shop air compressor wont put out more than 110 PSI

In my experience you do not get the 'rated' PSI at the end of the hose from any compressor. They all are slightly below the rated max PSI. You'll need to get one rated at 150 PSI to get the 120 in your tire.

You could change out your pressure switch to a higher PSI (e.g., 150),if the tank was approved to that pressure. The max PSI for the tank should be stamped on the bottom. The tank ratings (max pressure) will be higher than the operating setup for safety purposes.

hose length and size can affect how much flow (CFM) a given compressor can deliver at a given pressure (PSI), but not the maximum pressure when the compressor cuts off. You might check the pressure switch and regulator and see if you can set the pressure back higher.

Is there a compressor expert here? Does the length and composition of the hose matter? If so what length and material hose do I need for my 135 psi compressor?The output gauge on the compressor reads 130psi but wont pump up tires past 110psi...
