R V Parks, or Whatever...
Jack and Donna,

We're by no means "full timers", but we put around 18K miles per year on the
coach. We try to stay on BLM lands whenever possible. There are millions of
acres out west in some beautiful areas. Our only rule when traveling is to avoid
all parks with swimming pools! That usually cuts out the unruly kids, screaming
scooters and golf carts. We've encountered several parks that are members of the
"escapees" travel club and "passport America". They usually have sites around
$15 per night for members and the annual fee is under $50 or so. The
Wanderlodges are made for boondocking- just make sure your genny and holding
tanks are up to snuff and you should be good for a week in the outback.

them alive. Several years ago, we traveled for 6 months and 22,600 miles in
our SOB. We stayed at all kinds of parks, but it seemed most were about $30 a
night. Yes, we did a couple of weekly rates, and Wally Worlds, but on the whole
it was around the $30 a night, which works out to some $900 for a month.

with the nearest Doheny Beach state Park, to $60 a nite, and that is for Dry
Camping.. (Staying in a Super 8 Motel might be about the same, only there you
get Breakfast).
