Synthetic Transmission Oil
Curt,
They ought to put a new pan gasket on when they service the tranny. My 83 PT40 had Amsoil synthetic in the tranny (as well as the engine, differential and genset) for most of the 9 years I owned it after I changed it over in year 1. The only leak I had was the slobber tubes. Sounds like more anti-synthetic folklore to me.
