PT hydraulic reservoir
Hi Bill- I guess I should have been a little more specific. On PTs there is a
separate canister for the hydraulics- which is to control the fan motor and power steering. It seems that the couple I was mentioning had a mechanic put the Dextron in that canister where it should have been 30 weight oil. My question- will it hurt that particular hydraulic application? I would think that the Dextron would be a lot lighter weight oil and it may not adversley affect that pump. Just in my opinion- which I can be dead wrong. Ernie- 83PT40- in Texas- Dextron in the jacks, 30 weight in the power steering [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
