Starter Motor Current Draws

Starter motors are a series wound
motor. The current draw varies with the motor speed and load. The
initial inrush when the starter first engages is quite high and then falls off
quickly as the diesel starts to turn over. Cold weather would make it
higher as the diesel is stiffer. A starter shop may be able to give you
an idea.

Starter Motor Current Draws

Can anyone
tell me, or lead me in the right direction as to where I could find the current
draws for starter motors. I have a 3208 Cat and an 8V92 Detriot.

Thanks

Bill
