Tachometer fix
Troy,

Just had a similar problem. After three trips to the truck repair place
problem was solved with a new sending unit. Before biting the bullet for a
new sending unit ($100 +)be sure that right angle drive if in good shape and
that all wiring is good.

I cleaned and reasembled the tach drive, no broken parts found. I
started the motor and the gauge appears to be working, but when I rev
the engine, quarter throttle max in neutral, the RPM goes over 3000.
Is this correct? There is no red line on the guage. What RPM are
most owners running? I have a 3208T, 225 HP with the 4.89 gear ratio.
