Sewer gates

So, my sewer paddles are having a hard time going back in to the "locked"
position on my 85 PT40. What parts to I really need to replace to fix this? I
thought about ordering the entire assembly so I know they are good. But, a
quick look at my current plumbing tells me it will require quite a bit of work
and I don't want to create more problems.
