Sewer gates
Jerry,
Sounds like the paddles at the bottom of the ram. They hold back the sewer flow. The seals can get out of alignment after many years use. Contact Stephen Burtles, Dupree Products. He sells the dump paddles. There are two screws that hold the dump unit in place. They can be seen looking in through the door. Remove the two screws and the entire unit will come out (hopefully the paddle too). A less than empty tank can make this a Sh}{y job. Don't ask me how I know!

The paddles unscrews from the unit shaft. Screw on the new one and reinstall. Use silicone around the unit upper edge and seal.

So, my sewer paddles are having a hard time going back in to the "locked" position on my 85 PT40. What parts to I really need to replace to fix this? I thought about ordering the entire assembly so I know they are good. But, a quick look at my current plumbing tells me it will require quite a bit of work and I don't want to create more problems.

Thanks in advance.
