Genny 12.5kw kohler
Just when I thought I got the genny fixed and ready to run for another
3000 hrs I found a problem...When I used the Perkins/Kohler 12.5 at
Maxton recently I ran it for about 4 days nonstop..(cept when the
propane was leakin) and it ran great. Steady voltage, temps were good
about 140-150, all was good. The other day I started to cool down the
coach to work on the spot/flood lights. I just happened to glance at
the guages over the passenger side and both meters were pegged!! Then
to the galley both were very high with the top meter fluttering..I then
checked the outlet by the door with a meter and it was 140.2 volts!!
yikes I shut it down..crawled under it and replaced the regulator and
refired it back up...SAME RESULTS..Now I am stumped as where to go! I
just replaced the stator (had a hard ground in the excite circut) the
brushes are brand new, end bearing is brand new, regulator brand
new..Could the regulator need set??? Would the transfer switch have any
thing to do with it??? Maybe a ground issue in the transfer switch??
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???
thanks in advance for any help
