On my old 97 the front "coach" heat is electric, controlled by a seperate thermostat,and the front A/c switch needs to be on.
Not having heat strips,I can't share how that works,other than the main Comfort Conytol Center needs to be set for the Strips.
It has no connection to the AquaHot system
