Bird's and ice storms- up date
Good afternoon to all:
Well the snow finally hit after the ice had worked a permanent set on the surrounding area. We are still in Ruff Diamond and doing well. I managed to run an AC extension cord into the house and get the refrigerator power, so as not to lose the food stuffs and freezer foods as well. While at it, I powered my Wifi modem and am now enjoying Wifi on my lap top in the Coach. All this after finding the power may not be restored until after Feb 2nd late afternoon, if then. I did a little number crunching and have about 6 days of diesel, 7 days of water and holding tanks and if careful on propane another 2 weeks there. As one Bird friend wrote, it is nice to have Ruff Diamond as a fall back. I do not envy those who have to store their Coaches far from home base. More snow and ice on it's way perhaps this evening and now with Internet, we have some idea of what is going on. Many thanks for the web addresses earlier, and thank goodness I could call them up on the Blackberry after a fashion.
