Oklahoma, Ice and cocktails
Good morning from inside the house in Duncan Oklahoma:

Yep, inside the house, warming up gently, drain leak under the kitchen sink
with a temp repair, life is good. Power was restored last night around 9PM
and while we checked systems in the house, moved plants, 1/2 frozen to
better warm spots, Charolette and I opted to remain in Ruff Diamond one
more night to allow things in the house to start to normalize.

Ruff Diamond performed very well in this crises. The gen set kept power to
heaters, and the refrigerator in the house and of course my Wifi modem so I
could get on line with the lap top out there! LOL Well there are some
tings that may be more important but hey?! Gotta have the puter sailing right?

Odd how things worked out really. An air bubble from hell stopped the fuel
flow to the gen set last night about 8:30PM and I had just gotten that bled
out and the gen set running when the power came on at the house. So after
being sure the shore power was going to hold (about 30 minutes) we switched
the transfer switch to shore power, did a 5 minute no load cool down on the
gen set and put that to bed for the night remaining on shore power.

This ice storm has done many things for our Family. First and foremost,
Ruff Diamond gave us shelter and kept us warm and snug and even gave of
herself to keep the food stuffs in the house at their normal cold and
frozen. Then the old girl (the Coach not the wife) broke her heart in
keeping running, save for one shut down for maint. for 80 hours continuous
and that with a rear main oil seal leaking. I have found a new respect for
the '84FC known as Ruff Diamond and though she is no Dream 35, Ruff Diamond
can hold her own and take care of her Family with out any fan fair to boot.

So even though it is early, I mixed a small cocktail and stood proudly in
the ice an snow amid broken tree branches, and hoisted my glass for a toast
to a Lady. Here is to Ruff Diamond and thank you old Girl, for keeping my
Family out of harms way! Smile

Safe travels,

Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider
