Good morning everyone:

The rain has blown over and the ice and snow is gone and just leaving
broken trees and a soggy mess.

I built an over head TV hide cabinet in Ruff Diamond and since we do not
use the back up monitor color TV option (which is analog) and are not going
to put a converter on it. I decided to re-task the 4 salon speakers on the
underside of the over head cabinets.

The front salon speakers were for the cb sound and the back 2 were for the
monitor turned color tv set. And there is an external head set or speaker
jack on the side of the Vizio TV we installed.

I traced the wiring to the back 2 speakers to the BU Monitor molex plug,
and cut the wires. Then I removed the front 2 speakers from the variable cb
sound speakers. Installing a amplifier, and connecting the front speakers
and rear speakers to the separate inputs on the amplifier. All that was
needed was an amp
and 2 feel of speaker wire, then the front over head vent
had been replaced with out a fan, so I tapped into the 12vdc power source
for the vent fan and ran it to the amp. re-labeled the over head drivers
switch as TV sound. No static and I have front to back balance through the
tv set. Oh, the digitel is seldom turned on so the digitel speaker behind
the drivers head was re tasked for the cb external speaker sound.
Charolette is happy because she does not have to listen to the cb any
longer. (hero status for 5 minutes) Now we can watch TV from the
dinette booth but all the sound was in the Salon, hmm, looking over head in
the booth I saw the digitel speaker on/off switch for the booth. I then ran
speaker wire connecting the rear curb side Salon speaker to the re tasked
booth digitel on/off switch. Now we have TV sound at the booth that can be
switched off when we are talking and do not want
the TV to interupt.

Bottom line, turn on TV
Switch on amplifier switch for sound.
Remember to switch off the amplifier when TV off as the amplifier still
draws 12vdc if left on.

Safe travels,
