Blue Bird Wanderlodge PT
In 1982 the 6v92 engine was introduced in the PT series, a 310 or 330hp version. In 1986 the 8V was introduced as well with 475hp. Looks like the 6V was stopped as of 1988, when DDEC was introduced in the 8V engine.

I guess I'm familiar with it. I have over 300,000 miles on mine. Oh- it is a 330 hp engine- unless someone "tuned" it up. The 8vs have more pep to them as the 6vs are underpowered for the weight they are pushing.

Hi,

Is anyone here familiar with the Blue Bird Wanderlodge PT that is equipped with the Detroit Diesel 6V-92TA (350 hp) engine and the Allison MT-654CR 5-speed close-ratio automatic transmission?

My favorite would be the same vehicle equipped with the Detroit Diesel
8V-92TA (475 hp) engine and the Allison HT-754CR 5-speed close-ratio automatic transmission, because that's ultimate sheer power for a 'Bird 'Lodge.
