Cole Hersee Dial/Switch on firewall between engine and coach batteries
Mike brings up a good point. If your coach batteries are wired the same as Mike's '99, that explains, too me anyway, why your switch has always been set to the #1 or 9 o'clock position, meaning the switch is used as an all-on or all-off, and not using the other two positions. Check the back of the switch.

Not being there and seeing exactly how your coach is wired makes it difficult to assist.

On our 1999 LXi, the batteries are connected as one bank and all work through one position on the switch. Check the routing of the wires from the battery bank to the switch to determine the operation of that switch.
