Towing

Could very well be. I don't have the coach here to look at it myself, but the
pics I have do make it look more like a "bumper hitch", than the true
receiver/tubular style hitch. I'll know better in a few weeks when I can get up
close and personal with it.

You are right though, mine is the "red" engine from what I can tell in the
documentation, although I've been told its "tweaked" and puts out more than
300hp, something I will never verify or care to have verified!

think the actual platform hitch assembly was the same on both as I recall. Could
be that the load rating difference you are reporting be related to the fact that
the 82PT had the 6V92 "Red" engine rated at 300HP and the 83 PT had the 6V92
