Leaking tank water fill connection on 2000 LXI

My next project: We've had a slow leak behind the hose connection where you
screw in your fresh water hose to fill up your water tank; maybe it's the hose
or maybe it's something more complicated, whatever, it's starting to get on my
nerves, or, maybe I've got too much free time lately. Anyway.... It appears
that one would have to remove the metal panel to get a look at it and find/fix
the leak. Is this the infamous Sporlan valve? Anyone?
