A year ago I switched to Coach Net after getting a letter from Good Sam Road Service after three call outs in 18 months. This was a form letter warning me that GSRS was not a maintenance facility and that if my coach was not properly maintained my coverage could be revoked. The three call outs were all for flat tires due to punctures. Lack of maintenance was never in the mix. Their letter was a standard form letter which is generated automatically if you use their service 'too' often. I suspect all road service plans work this way. I'd use GSRS again without hesitation but have decided to give them a rest for a few years or a least until I get my Coach Net warning letter.

I was towed in Feb of last year in my bird by coach net. They pulled me to Freightliner in Knoxville. There was never any mention of the problem. The set the coach down in the parking lot and they were done.

It sounds like you are expecting the service to be something like a Warranty?

Otherwise I don't see what the source of the problem would have to do with it. They will either tow you, or pay for a roadside service guy's travel time, and it doesn't really have to do with what the issue is so long as it has left you stranded.

I've used them three tows and one service call over the past 8 years, and whether something was maintenance- caused did not enter the equation. In none of the cases did they cover actual repairs, and I didn't expect it.

The only issue I had was with the service call - I had to insist on it, since they wanted to tow me, and had to sit through the reading of the rules which basically said that I was burning my once per incident and if I needed towing after the service I was on my own, and I was responsible for the hourly rate of the guy when he got there, one hour minimum. Not a problem, just dispatch
him!
