High temp and water temp senders
Call Dan in Parts Dept. at Parliament Coach in Florida. He should be able to
comeup with a part no. and vendor. R.E. (Ron) Marabito, Dallas, TX 92WB40 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Greg Young" > > Hi - > > Been quiet for a while. After 6 months and 25K miles last year full-timing we decided to put Bluefire in storage for a few months and reset our lives. But we left a few pieces of deferred maintenance. I'll probably be posting a few questions over the next few weeks as we get her ready for the road and Burning Man again. > > Here's the first: > > The high temp sensor/switch on the 8V92's cooling thermostat body seems to have failed. The hydraulic fan was not engaging and I got an engine warning buzzer. I had to use the Fan Override switch to get it on when the temp climbed. So I am looking for a new switch, and while I'm at it, I think I might also replace the temp gauge sender. > > I called our local Detroit Diesel shop with the engine serial number and they said the parts must have been spec'd and installed by Bluebird. So, does anyone know a source for replacements? > > It's a 1986 PT-40 with the 8V92TA Silver. > > Thanks! > Greg Young > 1986 PT-40 "Bluefire" > Oceanside CA > |
