Hi Lee; I believe it was the change over of the 90 coach with the new caps, that basf and clear coat went on the Coaches. Wasn't there a rub with EPA about paint booths and Imron paint that made it more econ to change over?

Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Paint on Wanderlodges
Early Wanderlodges where painted with Dupont Imron which is a single stage polyurethane product which is a long lasting product.I do not know what year Bluebird went to base coat clear coat but most likely was in the 90s and that was BASF. I know that some where in the late 90s 2000s they switched to PPG. Most jobbers Dupont,BASF,PPG,SW,SIkkens can be crossed to the product that the jobber sells but I have always had the best match by going to the OEM paint that was applied.Dupont,BASF,PPG etc. All have Color Scaners (Color Camera) which do a good job in matching colors.Base coats are hard to match with single stage colors it just depends on the quality of match that you want.Hope this helps.
