ARO Step control valve

We developed a bad leak in the ARO step
control valve during our trip last weekend. The spool valve was easy to
rebuild using “O” rings from the faucet section of ACE hardware (3/4”
X 1/8” thick - $0.29 each). The problem is that the rubber on the back
port of one of the pilot air valves is bad so there is a leak when it is
energized. There used to be kits available for these valves but I can’t
find any since IR bought ARO.

- Has anyone found any parts to rebuild
one of these valves lately?

- Or does any one have an old valve around
that I could buy for parts?

- Or, lastly, does anyone have a part
number for a valve that would replace the current one? (ARO Part#5840-2929-02)

We head north for the holidays and in very
cold weather even a small leak creates problems.
