Driver's Side Front Bay Door Won't Open

Howdy.

The driver's side front bay door won't open on my 1993 WLWB. It is the bay that has the generator cooling fan in it. By lying on the ground, I have removed all of the **** from that compartment that I could reach from it's floor opening. But I can't get around that cooling fan. Facing
the coach, I can see the rod moving when Liz pulls up on the outside latch but I can't see the rod on the far side of the door. So I don't know what it is doing. I am carefully removing the bolts on the very bottom of that entire compartment to ease the floor open a very small amount. Hopefully then I can see if that other rod is moving. Then maybe I can see if it is being stopped from moving by some obstruction on the floor of that compartment. Suggestions or ideas would be very welcome.
