Closet door pulls

A while back I posted the info on the availability of the closet door pulls. I
received the ones I ordered and stuck them in the corner. The other day I
thoought I would swap it out. Went to the closet door to remove the old one .
Has anyone done this. How did you get the old one out? Beats the heck out of
