IMO your engine batteries are just too weak. If charging them does get some cranking power, trying jumping them (if you are a member of Good Sam or other service, it may be worth the call). Even then, if you have one really bad battery, jumping may not help and replacing them may be your next alternative. The gages on the dash really only give you an indication of voltage at the moment and although lookin' good, may not be a good indication of cranking power.

Tying you house and engine batteries together with the switch on the dash could get you some cranking power, and heating up the batteries may help (my switch for the battery heat is under the sink in my 91WL). But even those assists may not overcome a bad or weak bank of batteries.

Hello Mike,

I could not find any switch for electric heater behind the pull down

drawer. There was only an "start Gen" "LP on/off" and water pump switch. Yes, the switch was "on" to charge both sets of batteries. I am sure the ether tank is empty I have had this bus for 10 years and never used it. The bus only has 31000 miles on it.
