Engine won't start or Primus

Nelson,

I have Interstate batteries for the same reason as Roger, easiest thing to do
and convenient to find on the road for replacements.

As for the 14V reading on your dash meters, that sounds like a bogus surface
charge reading if the engine cranks slowly and does not start. You will need to
load test the batteries individually to see what happens to the voltage reading
then. There's probably a dry cell or bad cell somewhere on one or more of the
start batteries.

In the meantime, if you have not already tried it, use the aux battery switch on
the dash to tie the battery banks together and try to start again. If that
doesn't work, I would just use battery jumper cables from a 12V neg ground toad
to the jumper pins inside the rear door to get it started, until you can get the
batteries checked out.

The gages on the dash really only give you an indication of voltage at the
moment and although lookin' good, may not be a good indication of cranking
power.

Yes, the switch was "on" to charge both sets of batteries. I am sure the ether
tank is empty I have had this bus for 10 years and never used it. The bus only
has 31000 miles on it.
