Valve Adjustment, D60, 2000 LXI
Thanks for the input folks. As it turned out, they do have to go in thru the
bedroom floor. You have to remove the safe, the carpet, and then the cover and insulation. This allows access for the valve adjustment, a Jake adjustment, and even the ENGINE WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGE SENSOR (also needed on ours) on the 2000 LXI. Alamo Diesel quoted me 860.00 for the valve adjustment including the floor work. Not as bad as what we've heard from some others. We'll have it done next fall. BTW, Alamo Diesel did a nice job on the routine engine maintenance. Oil, filters, chassis lube, brake adjustment, air/dessicant change-out etc. Will be going back for more. 2000 LXI San Antonio, but not for long. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "luckyron1" > > Am about to take the coach in for the annual oil & filters replacement; timely dessicant cartridge changeout. In looking at the recommended maintenance schedule for the D60 I see a valve lash adjustment recommended at 60,000. We're there. Over the phone, the guy from Alamo Diesel wandered if he would go in from the bedroom floor or the rear. Anybody done this on a 2000 LXI? > Thanks. > > 2000 LXI in San Antonio > |
