I rigged up a hose and temporary external resevoir to feed the pump. The return line from the steering box (which normally feeds the pump) went into a bucket. When the fluid going into the bucket changed color, I was done.
This would all happen at the rear of the bus on the SP. It took 3 quarts for the FC; figure at least a couple extra quarts for the SP.
The synthetic fluid came from
www.redlineoil.com (707) 745-6100. It made the steering system quieter and it has more steering power.
