Cruise control problems.
I don't know if this was ever resolved, but I had this issue on my 87FC35. I
have a ZF transmission with a trans retarder that is somehow air controlled.
When the trans retarder is engaged, the brake lights come on. A small air device
has gone out and was intermittently activating by itself, thus flashing my brake
lights as well as turning off my cruise.

There is a prior message that has my name on it that explains the failed device
a little better.

being backed-off, then the control drops off.
