Dave: Was that the pass on Alt 14 over the medicine wheel area? If so
I can see why you might have developed a problem. Trucker's guide to
mountain pass's advises all to avoid this one at any cost. I did it
once in a 78 bird, never again. Had to disconnect half way up slowed to
a crawl most all the way. Were you showing indications of over heating
before you blew the hose and did you stop immediately when the engine
alarm went off? One more question. What do you mean by steam cleaning
the radiator core? Sorry about you bad luck but it sounds like you
