Ralph,

Congrats on the new toad. I don't have a Wrangler, but I have had two Jeep
Grand Cherokees that I used the Blue Ox BX8869 Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring
Kit to do the wiring. Quick and easy. It is a totally separate wiring setup
with its own bulbs. That way you don't have to mess with diodes or tapping into
the existing vehicle wiring system. And you get to remove it and re-use it when
trading the vehicle. You could easily get the pieces to build you own kit, but
it was only like $29 or so and it saved time running down piece/parts to DIY.

By the way, I have a Blue Ox baseplate from my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee that could
have a new home if anyone wants it.
