Hi Jim
I have a 1991 SP36. It has a 5 speed ZF Transmission, not 4. You want to find out if the prom in the zf module has been re-programed which means that the shift points were reset to a higher RPM. That will do wonders for the uphill battle. I've had it now for 10 years, and still learning systems on it. I have worked and documented everything i ever did to my bird and I have made up a complete Handbook of for it with every system described and illustrated. And my book is still expanding all the time. My opinion of this bird is ITS A HECK OF A FINE MACHINE. But you must be willing to do some work on it for up-keep/ maintenance. If you want to know anything more about this bird, just drop me a note at juesteinm@... Juergen in PA 1991 WLSP36 --- bluebird3208 > I am looking at upgrading from my 1983 FC RB to a > 1991 SP36.
