Kohler generator smokes alot!
Ernie, in my situation, I had a 1" exhaust from the genny muffler to
the outside of the coach..the exhaust would soot quite a spot if left run for several hrs. Eric the genny guy explained to me to increase the size of the exhaust pipe 1/2 in would increase flow exponentially. I am sure there are some folks better qualified than I to explain this about flow. I only increased mine to 1.75 I will go to 2" next time..exhaust still "pops" a little bit while running and does still soot a bit but much less than before..also going to pull injectors off and have them checked out..
