RE: New (from Europe)
@Arcticdude
Those were the days! I remember I once drove - a tourist from Holland - to (West) Berlin. Upon entering the GDR I had to stand on a little platform in bright floodlight so that they could compare my face with my passport photograph Angry At the same time the inspected the underside of the car with mirrors and poked a stick in the fuel tank. As if anyone would want to be smuggled INTO the GDR!
Glad there is no more Iron Curtain. Many countries that used to be member of the Warsaw Pact are now in the EU and even in Schengen, which means you even don't have to show any document when crossing their border. Actually, in general there are no more visual borders at all, you just drive on, like between most American states. But we're still a long way removed from a Federal Europe Sad
But this development gives us a lot more interesting holiday destinations.

@Patticake
Thanks for the offer. As I wrote above, I have some, but don't need them on the bus, because it's all metric.

Regards,
Ernst

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE – WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN’T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN’T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.
