RE: Series 60 Exhaust Tube Warning
To whom am I answering? Who are you, Arcticdude?
The '98 and later have a lower engine allowing a skinny guy to do it if the air induction tube is dropped and the exhaust tubes removed. There is a trap door in the bedroom floor that makes it easy, but on this model Blue Bird built rear closet walls over the door, making it unusable. On my '95 I did the job myself. The engine was higher, but no trap door. It was very difficult reaching the turbo clamp from the underside, but possible. You probably need to do the entire exhaust system if this one piece is damaged. When it is done, not having to worry about that hidden issue is a great feeling. My logic is that if I am likely to have to do it while I own the bus, do it now and eliminate the worry.
