When I had my service trailer, it weighed 11000 pound loaded with tools and with the Jeep GC in it as well. My '85FC with the 250 T pulled it nicely on the flats but really slowed on the hills. In truth, it was a little too much for the 250 T in the hills on grades. The 300 with the 5 spd would not have had a problem with that weight. I made grades like the Grapevine at a whopping 15 to 20 mph and she got warm but not overly.
