Have the values dropped even more on older birds?
I agree with you 100%. I'm not suprised to see SOME depreciation,
but I just thought seeing comperable mid 30k busses last year look like they were down to mid 20k this year was MUCH more than I expected. It just really caught me off guard and I was curious if I was seeing things that weren't there or if there really was some kind of market crash in our midst. Mine's a NA. Thanks for cheering me up about that too. ![]() It just seems that at the current rate, the 80 vintage birds will be going for like 12k in a few years - which I don't understand since ones from the 70's were still above that last year. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Mike Hohnstein" <MHOHNSTEIN@w...> wrote: > I have discussed this subject many times over the years with friends and colleagues. Consider SOBs, don't take long for the new to wear off those critters, Birds lose luster too. Saving grace of a bird is you can keep fixing on it and it won't bend or break due to use, but it's still a motor vehicle. If you have a turbo it's better as it is a tough sell on a NA. Gotta remember the mfrs are throwing incentives at end users to keep selling their wares, that hurts the value of used equipment of all kinds. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Adria Haynes > To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Wednesday, July 27, 2005 1:00 PM > Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Have the values dropped even more on older birds? > > > When we bought our '80 35FC last spring, we thought we got a pretty > good deal on it in comparison with much of the market for that > vintage.
