maybe the tables in the db need to be optimized. mysql

Ron, what operating system, platform, and browser are you running? Do you tend to see it more on mobile platforms?

Collecting data from webpagetest.org is useful. it scan tell us if it's a first byte issue. You can ask it to check a thread by giving it the full thread url.
