Interesting topic, as the PT38 I just purchased has one 40 amp charger
working.

Instead of replacing them with more chargers, I was thinking of replacing
them with a 2500 watt inverter with 100 - 130 amp 3 stage, temperature
correcting
charger built in. Other than the cost (approx $1,400) is there anything else
I am missing?

I would think that the 1986 era inverter is inefficient and likely to die in
the future anyway.
